Some of the biggest survivors of domestic violence are the smallest.
Children are the unintentional, often times, forgotten victims of domestic violence. Our Children’s Program is designed to help children recover from domestic violence during a critical stage of development in their lives by promoting healthy growth and development, non-violent social skills and positive learning experiences in a safe, supportive setting. Tailored support for children and teens aged 0-18 years consists of age-appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, team-building games, after-school tutoring, and computer skills.
We offer this program to children of current YWCA Glendale Domestic Violence Program clients. This is in support of our other comprehensive services for domestic violence survivors, such as shelter, legal advocacy, and counseling.
