Domestic violence affects millions of individuals and families every day, many in our very own community. YWCA Glendale strives to address domestic violence by providing emergency shelter, support services, legal assistance, therapeutic services, education and outreach.
Our Services Include:
- A 24-hour crisis hotline (888-999-7511) serving an area of 1.1 million people. We offer counseling, community referral and access to shelter services.
- The Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter Program provides a 45-day safe-haven for women and their children. Services include meals, housing, counseling and social services; a children’s counseling program, legal advocacy, case management, housing assistance, employment, education, healthcare and childcare.
- A Domestic Violence Service Center that offers case management, legal assistance, counseling, resources, referrals and childcare to adult survivors and their children.
- An education and outreach program that facilitates discussion on domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, elder abuse, and stalking.
All services are provided at no cost to the recipient and are available in English, Spanish and Armenian.
