Group swim lessons: We offer beginner, intermediate and advance classes for youth ages 3-16 and all adults.

Private or semi-private swim lessons: learn to swim with one of our instructors on your own or with one other student. These are available to people of all ages.

Aqua Fit for Adults Class: This program uses the buoyant qualities of water to enhance physical fitness through exercises. It is a medium-impact water class designed to provide cardiovascular conditioning, improved muscle tone, and improved balance. It is a total body workout without the stress of land-based exercise. Appropriate for all levels. A minimum of 10 participants is required.

YOUTH (ages 3-16): Saturday, 9:00-10:00am and 10:00-11:00am
ADULTS: Monday, 9:00-10:00am

SUMMER GROUP CLASSES (JUNE-AUGUST)

YOUTH (ages 3-16): Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, and Saturday, 9:00-10:00am and 10:00-11:00am
ADULTS: Monday, 9:00-10:00am

Monday and Friday, 9:00-10:00am 

LAP & OPEN SWIM  (ALL AGES)

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00-10:00am
Saturday, 11:00am-12:00pm

SINGLE CLASSES: $18.00
MONTHLY RATE: $60.00
Monthly rate includes four one-hour classes and must be paid in advance. Summer weekday classes can be combined with Saturday classes to make twice a week.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

ONE-HOUR CLASS: $55.00
45-MINUTE CLASS: $45.00
30-MINUTE CLASS: $30.00

SEMI-PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS
(Two students per class)

30-MINUTE CLASS: $55.00
30-MINUTE CLASS: $30.00

AQUA FIT CLASS, LAP AND OPEN SWIM TIME
PRICE PER SESSION: $5.00

CANCELLATION AND TRANSFER FEES: 
Before First Class: $5.00
After First Class: $10.00

All fees must be paid in cash or check.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:

  1. Financial assistance is not available.
  2. If you are unsure of the appropriate level for enrollment, please see our aquatics staff to schedule an appointment.
  3. There will be no refunds or credits for any missed classes.
  4. YWCA Glendale reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, and the right to change programs and services without notice.
  1. All swimmers must take a soap shower before entering the pool. Showers are located in the basement locker rooms.
  2. Swimmers are required to swim in proper swimming attire (no street clothes).
  3. Diapers are not allowed.
  4. Hair longer than shoulder length must be confined under a swim cap or tied back.
  5. No open wounds or band-aids are allowed.
  6. No one other than class participants are allowed on the pool deck.
  7. Swimmers must always enter the pool from the shallow end.
  8. Diving is not allowed.
  9. YWCA Glendale strongly believes in providing a safe environment for all. Any use of profanity or threatening behavior will result in the immediate expulsion from our program and premises.
